"The Future Heavies" will cover the best in new wave, pop, R&B, dance, and rock from the 1980s as they perform as part of the Thompson Recreation Summer Concert Series for the first time. Vocalist Wendy Berry from the band "High in the '80s" will be subbing for Alice-Anne. Wendy Berry was also a member of "The Glamour Girls."

"The Future Heavies" cover tunes by Bananarama, Bruce Springsteen, The Buggles, The Cars, Cyndi Lauper, Duran Duran, Hall & Oates, Huey Lewis and The News, The Human League, Journey, Katrina and the Waves, Madonna, Men at Work, Modern English, Nena, Pat Benatar, Prince, Robert Palmer, Tommy Tutone, and U2.

In the event of inclement weather, this concert will be canceled. Cancellations will be announced on www.thompsonrec.org and on WINY.
