32nd annual Monroe Parks and Recreation Summer Concert Series

"The Usual Lebowskis" will cover the best in alternative/indie, grunge, folk rock, jamband, pop, and rock from the 1990s during their first performance in Monroe.

Bring a blanket, your chairs, and your friends and family to enjoy an evening under the stars.

Due to state COVID-19 restrictions, the following changes will be implemented this season:

The concert is free, however reservations will be required. A maximum of six people will be allowed per reservation. Reservations will open the Monday morning before the concert at 8am and run through 1pm on the day of the show. The maximum number of people allowed in the concert area will be 450. The 450 available reservations for this concert have sold out as of 7:50am on Friday. If you have a reservation and no longer will be coming please let the Monroe Parks and Recreation office know by 1pm so they may give your reservation to someone on the waiting list.

Markings have been placed in the grass area to ensure required social distancing between groups. Check in for the concert will begin at 6:30pm. Concert begins at 7:30pm. In the event of inclement weather, please call 203-339-6106 after 3pm. Romeo’s at Wolfe Park will be open for food purchases.

"The Usual Lebowskis" cover tunes by 4 Non Blondes, Alanis Morissette, Alannah Myles, Ani Difranco, The Beastie Boys, Beck, The Breeders, Cake, The Cranberries, Dave Matthews Band, Eagle Eye Cherry, Green Day, James, Lenny Kravitz, Nirvana, No Doubt, Oasis, Pearl Jam, Phish, The Proclaimers, Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, R.E.M., The Smashing Pumpkins, Spin Doctors, Stone Temple Pilots, and They Might Be Giants.

The band features two lead vocalists, two guitarists, bass, and drums. Monroe's own Ron LaRosa plays rhythm guitar and drums and sings with "The Usual Lebowskis."

"The Future Heavies" (featuring five of the six members of "The Usual Lebowskis") previously performed the best of the '80s as part of the Monroe Parks and Recreation "Party at the Lake" at Great Hollow Lake in 2019.
