The Future Heavies return to Farmington

New England's #1 '80s Band, "The Future Heavies" will perform for the third time in Farmington, kicking off their summer concert series with the 35th annual Ice Cream Social next to the baseball field at Farmington High School, located at 10 Monteith Drive.

The ice cream social starts at 6pm. Music begins at 6:30pm with opening act Ken Cooley and Family. "The Future Heavies" will play from 7pm to 8:30pm featuring the best hits in new wave, pop, R&B, dance, and rock from the 1980s, from Blondie and Madonna to Pat Benatar and Stevie Nicks.

There will be free ice cream sundaes from Ben & Jerry's until 8pm with a non-perishable or a $4 cash donation to the Farmington Food Pantry. Toiletries appreciated.

Order dinner for take-out from Olive Bar + George's Pizza (located at 9 School Street in Unionville - a five minute drive from the concert venue) and 10% of your purchase will be donated to the Farmington Food Pantry. Mention the concert when ordering.

"The Future Heavies" previously performed the best of the '80s as part of the Farmington Summer Concert Series in 2020 and 2019. In 2020, they shared the bill with "The Usual Lebowskis" (featuring three of the members from "The Future Heavies") who covered alternative/indie, grunge, folk rock, and jamband music from the 1990s to close the show.
